I consider myself to be funny, honest, open-minded, emotionally and financially secure, and generally an all around nice guy. I'm almost always in a good mood, am quite laid-back and easygoing, and have a streak of spontaneity. I'd even say I have a hint of wit and have been known to show a spark of intelligence every so often, although I'm sure some will disagree (but those people are just stupidheads!). I'm comfortable with myself and who I am, and am at ease in most social circles, whether I'm geeking it up or going formal. In my spare time, when that actually happens, I try to catch up with friends, play some cards, play a round of Whack-F**k (sorry, I mean golf), watch a movie (I own about 400 or so), try a restaurant I've never heard of, play a game of cards or similar fare. I'm a pretty good cook (meatloaf, babyback ribs and shrimp stirfry are specialties of mine), I am a hopeless (want to say hopeful) romantic, which causes my heart to get my brain into problems sometimes, and once I loosen up, I can become quite a shameless flirt. Some people love it; others, not so much. I have never been married, have no children and am disease-free. I don't gamble, barely watch any television, and don't really follow sports, although I do appreciate a Bomber game every so often. I have my own vehicle, and own my condo, but have hopes of moving to a house within the next few years so I can have a deck to BBQ and a yard for a dog or two (things I have sorely missed having). I really enjoy travelling (been to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Greece...) but haven't travelled abroad in a few years. I love road trips, and try to go on at least one a year, making special effort to try and go somewhere I haven't been before.

Isn't this essentially bragging? One of the things I take true pride in is that I have never accepted a handout when I could do it myself. I have had my missteps, and some complete failures. But those were my failures and I feel that each failure has shaped my character as much as every success. I believe that you can almost always learn something positive from a negative experience, and what you do after you mess up helps to define you as a person.

I appreciate and cherish a woman who has independence, maturity/sensibility, humor, passion/creativity and intelligence. I'm not looking for a casual fling, and am looking a woman who will define who I will be, rather than redefine who I've become. I'm not perfect, nor do I expect anyone else to be. I feel like I am close to becoming the person I want to be and am ready for that last committed relationship, and someone who feels like they're in the same boat would be ideal.
