Life is a new adventure every day and I'm lovin' it.  As a mom and grandma, I love my children and grandchildren they bring me great joy, even though it's from afar.  As a teacher, I've done it all...taught pre-school through university and continue to enjoy the challenge of my career as a special education teacher at middle school.  As a former travel agent, I've travelled all over the world, but few places can equal right where I live...Eagle River, AK where the mountains meet the ocean and God's great beauty is around me every day.  As a Christian, my strong faith in God has given me many of life's blessings.  The one thing that would round out my life is a loving mate with whom to share it all.

I'm a mom of two wonderful, successful children and proud grandma of three beautiful grandchildren, two boys and a girl.  My family is very important to me and, even though they don't live in my state, seeing them at least twice a year is a priority in my life.  I've been very successful in my career as a special education teacher, having taught every grade from pre-school through university level, and am currently Special Education Department Chair for my neighborhood grade school.  I achieved National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist in 2001 and the first teacher in my state to earn this prestigious award.  I'm an avid downhill skier and even got a silver medal in a Nastar race in Aspen this March.  I also love cross-country skiing and golf, though I'm not nearly as accomplished in these sports.  I played tennis for 25 years, but gave it up due to tennis elbow three years ago.  I'm thinking of taking it up again this summer.  I have wonderful friends and enjoy just about anything that takes me outside and gives me a reprieve from work.  I tend to be a workaholic, unless given just about any excuse to do something else fun.  This is where you come in.  Won't you be my diversion?

My ideal soul mate would be a man who shares the same values and ideals as I do, one who brings to our relationship experiences without baggage, one who delights in a sense of curiosity and willingness to explore and build a new relationship, one who is ever communicative about matters that are real and deep rather than superficial and mundane, one who will not take this point in life laying on the couch, but instead will be on the move experiencing life, and last, but perhaps most important, one who has a strong faith and a willingness to share what's really important in life.
