I’m a hard working single mother of a 15 years old daughter that I love more than life itself, and as a mother we come as a package deal. I returned to school after 10 years and received my degree in Special Education. I teach special need kids with mental and behavior disabilities. I was an aide for 20 years and now after May 2005 I have been a certified teacher. I have always enjoyed working with people with disabilities. I lost my mom at a young age, she died in 1983 and my father died in 1993. But the lost of my grandmother was devastating to me and my daughter. She was my best friend; she died at the age of 96 years old. So to keep her memory alive I took over her newspaper column that she wrote for the local newspaper for 53 years. I am the oldest of 5 children 1 sister and 3 brothers. Also, I am very family oriented, growing up as a child my mother and father divorced, and my sibling were raised by my mom, aunt, uncle, and grandmother on my mother side of the family (also, I have been a mother and a father to my siblings).. During this relationship my maternal niece and nephew grew up as our brother and sister. So my first cousins are considered our brother and sister so their children call us uncles and aunts. I believed in paying my tithes to the church, I’m and a member of the A.M.E. church also on the steward board, missionary society and assist in the youth of the church. I try to attend church each Sunday. I will drop whatever I’m doing to see about my family and dear friends. My philosophy is your family and true friends will always be with you. My main saying is that All things are possible through Christ that Strengthen me. I enjoy collecting old movies such as :( To Kill A Mockingbird, Casablanca, Cape Fear, Vertigo, and North by Northwest). I love horror movies, and my favorite author is Stephen Kings and any movies he has produced. I enjoy gospel music, old school, Jazz, blues, and R&

I returned back to school after 10 years and received my BA degree in May 2005 in Special Education. I had been a teacher aide for 20 years. Now I have my own classroom, which is self-contained. I teach children that are Emotional Disturbed, Learning Disability, and Mental Retardation. They range in grades Kindergarten through seventh grade. My classroom is in a school for students who have been placed at an alternative school for students with behavior problems. Also, I have worked very hard to raise my daughter alone and keeping her on the honor roll and teaching her that she is a leader and not a follower. I love life and believe that no child is bad and they all have a right to learn. And every child needs love and maybe they will feel good about themselves and go forth in life to become a viable citizen in the community. I am a free lance writer for the local newspaper in my town. I took over writing the article after my grandmother passed away she had written for the paper for 53 years. So now my article comes out every Saturday morning.
