I am a pilates instructor with emphasis on rehab and movement retraining. I have two children. One is in college. The other still at home. Moved to Tucson about 3.5 years ago and am finally settled and ready to begin life all over again. Have many dear friends here from undergraduate days. Some new friends, and am in process of building my practice. I have a flexible and changing schedule between kids and work, so often have time during the day and evenings to enjoy what's out there to enjoy. I am typically an avid reader, but since moving here and beginning my practice, I spend a great deal of time thinking about the interface between physical and metaphysical. I have found a new career in life that I love.

Took some time in the last few years to reconstruct my life post divorce, post 9/11. Getting used to living in the Southwest again after 16 years in NYC. I am serious and playful. I'd like to think of my partner as a playmate of sorts. Someone to share experiences with, find physical comfort and pleasures with at the end of each day. I work hard at whatever my chosen tasks are. Miss the balance a lover and friend brings to life. Looking for an intelligent, articulate companion who is also alive physically. I'm an energetic person, a mover, as I like to say in my practice.

As odd as it may seem, I've never had a successful personal relationship with a Pisces. Professionally pisces seem fine, interpersonally, it doesn't work for me.

I have a B.A. in English Literature from U of A; minors in math, chemistry and geology. I have an M.F.A. from NYU in Creative Writing. I've had several careers, worked freelance, had my own business twice. Once in Minneapolis/Phoenix; now here. Waitressed; modelled; produced; location search; make-up artist; commercial artists' rep; Mom; database designer; real estate manager; now I'm a pilates teacher.

My friend, partner, lover, date, must be comfortable with a strong, independent woman. I'm not a hard Feminist; but I have a mind and a lot of life experience and believe men and women are quite different, but quite equal. I'm not always right and can be convinced of differing opinions. I'm open to new experiences. I'm not looking for a savior or a Lord and Master. I'm not looking for a competitor in life. I'm interested in having a long conversation with someone I feel connected to, who does not necessarily agree with me on everything, but can have a true dialogue about the life we share and feel together. Someone to take refuge with; someone to cuddle and play with. Someone to explore with whether it be inner or outer landscapes or, preferably, both.
