Well, I worked for 38 years for one company.  I held a lot of different jobs so I never got bored which is good since I have the attentention span of a nat.  I operated the huge IBM computers that filled rooms in.  Core was in six piecies and each was large enough to walk into.  Each one of the comp had 15 tape drives on and we had 3 of them.   Then I went on to do book keeping which was double entry of millions of dollars and we used comtometers (no such things as calculators then).  Next I went on to run a computer that converted paper tapes with holes punched in them at the central offices and we put them onto reels the size of large truck tires and ran 17 at one time in 17 cabnets to convert them to magnetic tape.  I went on to the central office in Palo Alto to work running the wiring to get dial tone to the outside cables.  By then it was 1984 and they were begging for installers since the break up took so many when we broke up.  I got a job in San Jose and was there for 17 years.  I did residential and business instalation and repair.  That included crawling under houses, in actics, and climbing stepped (piece of cake) and unstepped poles (hated it).  Finally I was just not physically able to keep it up so I transfered into the central office in Santa Clara as a Comunication Tech.  Best job in the company.  I maintained the high end equipment from T1, T3, and all sort of fiber and digital cross connect systems.   I also know which fork, knife, and spoon to use.  I chew with my mouth closed and can keep my elbows off the table if I have to.  I know to put the butter on my bread plate.   My biggest and best accomplishment has to do with my friends.  I am very proud to be able to call them friends because they are the finest group you could ever meet.  They are all honest a
