Wow. It's tough to describe oneself and not appear egotistical, and I believe I'm a humble person but I think we all are ego-driven on some level. But to actually put it down in words feels odd, doesn't it? I have had a wonderful life, full of mystery, laughter, excitement and connectivity. I left L.A. and an exhilarating six-figure job for the simpler life of a small town and family closeness.
I love intelligent conversation, but I hate phoney intellectuals. I love attending live sporting events, but hate watching them on TV. I love live music of any kind, and enjoy listening to Rock, Country and Jazz. (I love to sing too, but most people request that I don't.) I love to laugh, and hate people who dwell on the negative.  I love to experiment when cooking, (as long as the smoke alarm has fresh batteries.)  I love working in my garden, (but hate to pull the weeds.)
I own a power drill, meter saw, post-hole digger and a couple hammers, and know how to use them. I'm computer literate, tech-savvy, and understand what the infield fly rule means. I love the outdoors, (even when it makes me sneeze,) and love to ride my bike or roller skate in the park. I can dance swing and ballroom, but I won't ever win contests! I don't have cable, satellite or watch off-air TV, I prefer to be a participant in life rather than a passive viewer. To see the wonderful world of everyday life dance through the lens of my camera is so much more interesting and stimulating than the swill that passes for entertainment on TV. But I love movies and love to watch a comedy, an action adventure or a romantic movie anytime.   I'm a very loyal friend, welcomed guest, and avid story-teller. Most of the romances in my past have stayed friends years later, because I'm honest, easy-going, and make people laugh. I believe the greatest gift you can give someone is a smile.

Most people think I'm telling a story when I talk about some of my accomplishments (or exploits,) but I've had a lot of fun in the media and entertainment business, and I made a living in an industry no one thought I could enter 20 years ago. I feel pretty good about that. Career aside, I helped my brother build a house on the outskirts of Yosemite, that was pretty cool and I've saved two kids from drowning, which I think is a pretty nice accomplishment. My best accomplishment and success was raising a wonderful son and I feel blessed to have him in my life. I'm now a grandmother to a beautiful 2-year old, and vow to be the sexiest grandma on the block! I've won a number of awards in my industry, including a few Emmys, and have the respect of many people in the field. Oh, and I installed a full sprinkler system in my backyard once, assembled and installed a garage door opener by myself, and replaced the water pump in an old Buick. Three things I hope to never have to do again! (and I grow a mean tomato garden in the summertime!)

Who would I like to meet? That's a tough one, too, because I've been looking for that special "someone" for more than 20 years and haven't found him yet. I can't deal with smokers, (sorry... lost both parents to emphysema,.) and won't tolerate anyone who let's liquor control them. (but I'm not opposed to occassional imbibing, I like a glass a shot or a sip now and again.) I'm not a control freak, and I won't tolerate anyone who is. If you don't understand the word "compromise", then don't bother with me! No couch potatoes, either! However, I love to stay in and watch a movie, or cook together (or cook for you, if you'll cook sometimes, too!) I'd like a man in my life who cares about his appearance, and does some sort of physical activity, but not one who's stuck on himself. Beauty is more than a pretty face and great body! I'd like a man who wants to have fun, without any expectations, to take it easy and slow, and enjoy what comes along. Do you like astronomy? I've always wondered about the stars... maybe you can teach me. Do you like photography? I can teach you. Do you like to stay up late? Sleep in? Sip champagne? Walk barefoot through the grass? Do you like to laugh?
