.I'm a DVM/PhD student studying to become a veterinarian and scientist. What can I say? I love animals, I love to learn, and I want to be able to use what I know to contribute to biomedical science. That doesn't mean I'm a bookworm by any means. In fact, procrastination is a skill I've mastered. Away from academia, I enjoy many things -- ultimate frisbee, running, hiking,staring at the ocean, watching sports (I'm an avid Steelers fan), the arts, good food & wine -- as well as trying new ones.

What makes me interested in someone is their personality and attitude towards life. Someone who can make me laugh and carry a conversation, especially during the times when I lack the ability. I like someone who has some idea of what they want to do, no matter what field it is, and has the ambition and motivation to at least attempt to get there (without constant pushing from me). Someone who is open-minded, good-natured , honest, and considerate towards others, and has a keen sense about other people. These are the same attributes I find in the friends I highly respect and look to for guidance and support. The person I'd like to meet should fit those attributes as well, with the addition that he needs to be slightly taller than me. ;-P
