Those closest to me say I am generous to a fault. I’m rather shy until I get to know you. I’m very giving, sensitive, and compassionate. The words, "sweet" and “nice” come up a lot, too. I love to laugh, I try to find humour in most everything, and chose to believe there is still good in the world. I appreciate people who are genuinely honest, loyal, and dependable as that is how I am (or at least try to be). I hate games, unless it's Monopoly, or Scrabble. I like the great outdoors. I have a 28-speed off-road bicycle; I enjoy (but am a complete novice at) kayaking. I'm open to doing most anything once – however, I draw the line at jumping out of a perfectly functioning airplane! I am a motorcycle fanatic! I just purchased my first Harley - a Heritage Softail! There is something to be said about the freedom you feel being on a bike! I would say, “There’s something about the wind blowing through your hair,” but we have helmet laws! I would describe myself as “one of the guys.” Perhaps this is NOT a good thing? I don’t know. I’m just as handy with a hammer and tools as I am capable in the kitchen. I am fascinated with trying to figure things out. I have no qualms about getting under a car and getting greasy. Or lifting heavy things, or playing in the dirt. I’m definitely NOT high maintenance. The loves of my life are my fur children (Sarah, Kaitlin, Sean and Cami). I’m a HUGE animal person. My special someone has to enjoy and appreciate animals as much as I do. I love all creatures … well, except maybe for skunks. Did I mention that I love to cook? And I’m a pretty good (red) wine connoisseur. Don’t let me linger too long in Cost Plus or Bev Mo!! I usually end up leaving with quite a few bottles!

Boy, I'm not good at tooting my own horn. I'm quite humble in that regard. I will have to get back to you on this one. My friends tell me I have much to be proud of. Wait, wait, what about...I own my own house, I have my finances pretty well under control, five years ago I attained my lifelong childhood dream of being a producer of a children's television show for a local public broadcast station (was there five years)! I have since moved on to another job in a different field altogether, and I'm happy to say I love my current position just as much!

First and foremost, he HAS TO have a sense of humour! Someone who can laugh at himself as well as laugh at general stupidity. Someone who can be my biggest fan or cheerleader but who can also be my Superman when I need him to be. (And by the same token, someone who will allow me to be his biggest fan and allow me to be his Superwoman when he needs me to be). I’m a people person, so someone who does not find people a bother rates right up there with me. Someone who is "welcoming" and kind, good-natured, and generally happy with himself. For me, looks are not important; I honestly believe it’s what’s inside a person that makes them outwardly attractive...or not :-)
