I have built a life around books and music but I have also used them as substitutes, even though my friends tell me I'm a nice guy, not too bad looking, a good friend. Shared interests and activities mean a lot to me, because they are shared: movies, books, trips, memorable experiences. On the other hand, I can be very opinionated about current events and politics, both what to do about them and how to evaluate them.I am active in Israel-related and Libertarian party activities, in addition to doing volunteer work.Lastly, I put my picture up so you can see me. I'm a reasonably good accountant, with a good understanding of manufacturing requirements. I enjoy computers as tools that make work more efficient (or possible), but not as as end in themselves. I am not a particularly good debater, as I tend to polemicize when I care about an issue. Once I have come to various conclusions, I am on to the next set of issues.I read over 20 magazines a month, plus as many books as I can squeeze in, often several simultaneously.
I'm looking for someone who wants to share even a part of his life. A movie, dinner, a shopping trip (or just window-shopping) lets me see someone in situ. For me, this would be new and different. Long-term, I want to find someone whose mere touch is enough, whose presence is without question.
