I have never done much thinking about the things that make me unique, or "make me me", but I'll give it a shot.  I am very straight-forward (can be blunt, in fact) and have been known to be a little sarcastic on occasion.  I am also generous and kind, and am told I am a good listener and have a good sense of humor.  I like people to get to the point of what they are trying to tell me without giving me details that date back to before the earth cooled.  Family and friends are important to me, and I a...ly loyal to both. My dog is my child; we are a package deal.  I love my work, and I do not have patience with lazy or devious people.

Honesty and integrity are two of the most important character traits I look for in anyone, whether that person is a date or a friend.  I want to be around someone who makes me laugh, and who is intelligent and is not afraid to voice their opinion.  I would be lying if I said appearance isn't important, but appearance also includes being neat, clean, and having all the buttons on your shirts and no holes in the knees of your pants.  I like to bike ride and take long walks with the dog.  I am also happy watching a video at home with someone whose company I enjoy.  My favorite place away from home is the beach (specifically Bodega Bay).  I also need a certain amount of time to myself.  Ultimately, I want a "partnership" with someone where mutual needs are respected and met.
