"describe what makes you":
I grew up in Alaska, which equals, hard working, adventurous, take-no-(expletive) kinda gal. I can clean a fish, shoot a gun, and change my own oil.
I went to school in Seattle, London, and New York, which equals a well travelled, open minded, engaged, and interested person. I have done a lot and have been exposed to a lot, so I am tolerant but picky.
I had a mom who felt that all women should know how to cook, sew and walk properly in a skirt and heels, so I can do all of those things with style, confidence and ease.
I have a dad who thinks the above is great but that a women also should also know how to do her own taxes, and use power tools, so I can do that too. :-)

"what's important to me":
people who have manners, chivalry, romance, consideration of others, and empathy. People who want to connect with others, with honesty, respect and depth. Other things that are important: good food, good friends, time spent outdoors, family.

"what makes me unique":
my upbringing combined with my life experience. I am old fashioned in the things that matter: strength of character, friendship, honesty. I hold myself to a high standard, as I do the people I allow in my life. I am creative, spiritual, strong minded, loving.

i guess my accomplishments are the many different things I have tried in both work and life;
milliner, florist, set designer, small business owner.
I have lived and worked in 3 countries, 5 states.

My friendships are solid, as is my family life, all of my relationships have been long term.

Sometimes I wonder if I was born in the wrong decade, because I am looking for someone who understands things like :strength of character" and " a man's word is his honor". Are there any men out there like Paul Newman? :-) Loyal, honest, reliable, witty, charming, social active, monogamous. I want a man who is at ease with his place in the world and wants to make it better. I want a man who is interested in something more than just sports. A man, who if he does not cook, is at least appreciative when someone cooks for him. A man who notices the little things. A man who is not afraid to self-analyze and express his emotions. A man who can be just a comfortable in a suit or tux, as he is in jeans in a tshirt, and does not wear baseball hats at every occasion. :-) A man who can throw a punch, but knows when not to. A man who is not afraid to dance. A man who wants to learn new things. A man who treats others with respect.
