"...Including Moderation"
This is the ultimate paradox. We can't live our lives at the extremes, or will burn out -- so we stick with moderation. But even extreme moderation will make you weary. I stumbled upon this problem when I was 13, but 15 years later it's become an apt description for who I am.
I've interviewed famous people you've definitely heard of, and replaced a homeless man's broken space heater in December without question. I've helped write software your bank probably uses, and helped single mothers find affordable shoes for their kids. The extremes are great, as long as you believe in what you are doing. I tend to live most of my life in between, but still swing for the fences.
"Normally I don't like to be around interesting people because it means I have to be interesting too. All I'm saying is when I'm around you, I find myself showing off, which is the idiot's version of being interesting." -Steve Martin
I'd like to find someone who understands that and does the same.
I believe beauty must start on the inside. A person with the appearance of a fashion model who treats everyone else like dirt is unattractive. A person with a plain appearance who takes care of herself and cares for others is beautiful.
If you are a beautiful person who practices moderation (moderately, that is), I'd love to hear from you.
