I enjoy time spent with family and friends as well as alone time. I am of the Christian faith serving and believing in the Baptist Church doctrine. I am active in my church and when not working, spending time with family, volunteering or serving in the church I love hanging out with a few special friends, travelling, shopping and going to movies are just a little of the extras in my life.

I adopted my first child twenty years ago .  I enjoy life and want to share it with someone special.  In my breathing time I  enjoy being with family, friends, my church, my children or just hanging out by myself, reading, shopping, or just relaxing. I'd really enjoy sharing some of the spare time and family time with someone special.

A man that knows who he is and what he wants is appealing to me. I am an African American full figured woman who loves God first, and my family therefore none of this is a compromise for me. A man that knows who God is, has a relationship with him, attends church because he wants to and not because it's Sunday or a holiday will get my attention. I do not desire to have more children unless they come because you are already a parent. The man I desire must love children because I will always be a mom and would not want a man that sees my children as just an outside issue that is mine alone. I have the utmost respect for men/women who get involved with and marry women/men that come with children and they are committed to making the whole relationship/family work. I know families where it was easy and hard and when asked they say the key ingredient was the desire to want to be together and make it work. Hand holding, hugs and kisses, good conversation, worshipping together, good conversation, MUST have a sense of humour, be able to laugh at yourself and me.....it's not all the serious!! my soul mate must be a Christian and have a relationship with GOD. The best of relationships need God and I know I desire and need a mate that can and will pray for his mate (me), our children and himself. To not be equally yoked as a man and woman would create more challenge than will already be there just by living day to day. I want to serve and worship Christ, I want to be a good wife, step parent (if need be), companion, lover and all the rest,  to that special man and I won't settle for Mr right now......God's got a Mr. Right and whether he is on this site, or another site, or down the street, or in another state I am waiting.......we are all a work in progress and being on this site is just another outlet to possibly meeting that special someone.
