I'm new to this game, but here it goes... My ... is Alex--for short. I am currently in my final year of college. Assuming this next semester goes as perfectly as I think it will, I will be graduating in May with a Degree in Elementary Education and English. I love children and am excited to begin the part of my career as an Elementary Teacher. I love reading, writing, watching movies and listening to music--I am ridiculously eclectic. I am a really easy person to get along with. I laugh at virtually everything--and if I'm not laughing, I'm smiling--But that doesn't always mean I'm happy, I am human. I'm "that girl next-door" who would much rather be watching the football game on a Sunday day/Monday night than do, basically, anything else (especially shopping).
I'm looking for someone who shares my personality--sometimes sarcastic sometimes serious--who rolls with the punches and just genuinely loves life. Who doesn't let the small things bother them--and who can have an intellectual debate with me. I love kissing (which apparently I'm good at *shrugs*) and cuddling, and think it's much more intimate than anything else.
In my near future I see myself as a classroom teacher, in a better apartment, with a dog and hopefully someone like you. My large family (I'm one of four and have over 30 first cousins) is everything to me--they've gotten me through everything. My faith is very important to me. I am a christian and I go to church weekly and pray daily. I do not care what religion you are, or what you believe--as long as, if it happens to be different from mine, you fully respect what my faith is.

Back in high school, I played all the varsity sports and was named Class Athlete. But that was long enough ago. In college, I got promoted in my jobs almost every year. I was Vice President and Fundraiser Chair for my Fraternity (yes, fraternity--it was co-ed) for two of the three years I was involved. And was Pledge Master for a semester. Soon, I will be graduating with two degrees (Elementary Education and English).

What do I look for in a soul mate? Honesty-with each other. Balance-with other friends, family, other activities and jobs. Trust--but not blindly, you have your guys night, I'll have my girls night as long as we also get nights to ourselves. Understanding and consideration-in general. I'm not looking for someone who gets in a jealous rage because I have a guy friend or because I want to hang out with the girls. I'm not that clingy, let's-go-to-a-p arty-and-never- leave-each-othe r's-side type of girl. I must be friends with the person before I could even consider a relationship--I don't really believe in "love at first sight". Love is too abstract. "Attraction at first sight" is something I could believe in. I like people who I can talk to and be funny with. I joke around a lot and am sarcastic. I need someone who can wittingly keep up with me, my family, and my friends. I've always had a thing for dark curly hair, glasses, and a bigger build but that doesn't mean anything. They have to get along with my family and friends--which isn't hard. :-)
