I currently read and teach books. I wish I had the time and the talent to write a book. Actually, if I wasn't such a perfectionist, I could have written several books. My life has definitely provided all the material for the great American novel. I refuse to confine myself to traditional gender roles, but, deep down, I love it when a man opens the door for me.
I graduated from college with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing. I have been teaching for the past four years. I spent the first two trying to survive amongst the raging hormones of junior high kids. The last two years have been spent with high school freshmen and juniors. I cannot think of anything that gives me more pride than my career.
Honestly, I want to be swept off my feet. I've played the independent feminist role for too long. I'm intelligent, witty, and self-confident. I want to meet someone who can carry on a conversation and be comfortable with silence. I want to meet someone who is aware of what is going on in the world. I want to meet someone who reads "real" books. All applicants must be willing to respect and appreciate the person I am today.
