I am originally from Tn and have been in IA for about 6 years. I love it here even with our recent ice storm. My back yard looked like King Kong walked thru it. (lol)
My favorite events here I really like are the Rodeo and parade, Blues Festival, Parade of lights, The fabulous fireworks show on the 4th of July and Steam Boat Days. My favorite restaurants are mexican, Italian and sea food places. I'm trying to get up my nerve to try sushi.
I enjoy going to concerts in the area. Eric Clapton is the next one coming up and I can hardly wait. I prefer to chat or email with the ones that post their picture just as I have done.

I'm a licensed amateur radio operator and a member of the emergency services group. I play the guitar (classic rock) and also give guitar lessons from time to time.
