I feel like I should say I'm a normal 54 year old woman, and in some respects I am, but in many I'm not, especially when I look around at others my age.  I'm in pretty good shape and can still do everything I did 20 years ago--good genes and probably always living an active life style.  I prefer to participate in most activities than to watch them.  I especially love nature and the outdoors, and enjoy doing just about anything outside.   I am genuine and down to earth, and many say that I am easy to talk to.  I find myself being much more of a peace maker than I was in my youth--I think just understanding people better, and how complicated each of lives can be.  I've worked for my employer for 35 years, and can actually retire this year, although I am not planning to just yet....unless I find a new challenge that excites me.  Family is very important to me, being there for each other, and informal get-togethers  to enjoy each other and have fun.  I probably know more now what makes me happy, than any other time in my life--getting older, or maybe just wiser, and knowing what is really important.  I'd like to meet someone that is comfortable with them self, enjoys life, good communication, and who is looking for someone to share their life with, as I am.  I think that starting as friends is a great foundation for things to follow, and I would welcome company to play golf or roller blade, or bike, or ski, or any number of other things.   I think I am caring and compassionate and embrace individual differences that can enhance each of us. 

I think my greatest accomplishment is raising my two sons, essentially alone for the last 18 years.  We have certainly had our differences, but we are close and very much involved in each other's lives.   I have worked for the same employer for 35 years, suggesting that I am reliable and not flighty.   There are many more things that I am proud of and I am willing to exchange my success stories with yours.
