I... am pretty insane; am very friendly to the point of being overbearing; am flirtatious (w/ anyone + everyone; including your mom and dad); look at myself in the mirror a lot; am not smart except at analytical/critical thinking; am good at nothing except writing, LOVE learning about rhetoric, love reading; worship my niece, Ada, and nephew, Sam; wish I had a Southern accent; think Wendy Kaminer is too cool, b/c she thinks exactly like me (i.e., she's a left-leaning libertarian); am into Judaica; get out of bed in the morning solely to stare at a picture of Jude Law; believe strongly in secular humanism; drink Coke at room temperature; am impatient but being forced to learn patience (thanks MVA!); want you to like me; get overwhelmed a lot; can't sleep; am maniacally driven and ambitious but struggle to behave so; live to make people laugh; wish Tennessee Williams were still alive so I could marry him and have a cool gay husband; ramble a lot; like talking to strangers; and try to compliment everyone I meet on at least one thing.
Ummm... -Living through the things I've lived through so far. -Deciding exactly who and what I want to be and making it happen (in progress) -My education: I have a Bachelor's in English; am getting another degree (this one in journalism); I hate to mention these things, b/c I they sound like loser-ish boasting, but what else can I put???: member, Phi Beta Kappa; member, Kappa Tau Alpha (journalism honors society); member, Sigma Tau Delta (Enlgish honors society); recipient, the Academic Excellence in English Award at the University of Maryland at College Park in 2000; nominee, to be a marshal (sp?) at my college graduation--oh, I can't even believe I wrote that! -The learning and self-edification I've done outside school in a variety of areas. -This isn't an accomplishment really, it was just luck--I found two "things" that I love, want to know everything about, adore simply for their own sakes, and think I'm moderately talented at: writing; and rhetoric (the art/study of persuasive discourse). -My involvement in social causes I care about--specif., animal rights, civil liberties, secular humanism, issues of gender/sexuality.
Oh my. My ideal person. Too hard! I like so many things in so many kinds of people, maybe I'll think about this some and get back to it...
