You will usually find me in blue jeans as my passion is training horses and I have been fortunate to be able to breed Arabian horses on a small scale for the past 35 years. I live in the country near Rock City, Il on 28 acres with 6 Arabian horses.Also, I love to grow things and I have a strawberry farm with 3 acres of of strawberries and 1 acre of asparagus. I also have a business with offices in Rockford and Freeport so I do know how to put on a suit and squire a lady to a classical music presentation. In fact, music is a big part of my life. I have played guitar since a teenager so I might even compose and sing you a song after I know you better. I can cook a few things, have had to learn or starve. I can cook (steam) asparagus to perfection and I make the best strawberry milkshake on the face of the earth. I like to travel especially the SW. I have been to Ca twice, Louisville, Phoenix, Tucson, Ashville SC so far this year. The person that I would be attracted to would like the little things that people do that care about each other. Like the song says, "it is the little things that count". I like to pamper and like to be pampered in return. Not looking for someone to take care of me except maybe you could say, take care of my heart. That is one thing I can not do for myself. I have been widowed about 3 1/2 years from a very good marriage and I don`t think I come with a lot a so called bagage. I have old fashioned values and believe in "courting". I am honest, trustworthy, and faithful, and my only child is a daughter who is my hero so you will not find much in the way of "mucho" in my make up. My first love is my family which consists of a daughter, son-in-law, and two great grandsons. I would want to share them with and also come to know her loved ones. I think my friends would tell you that if we made a connection (that old chemistry thing), you would come to know that you are loved, adored, and cherished.
Raising a great daughter who in turn is raising 2 wonderful boys for me to spoil.
