My unusual upbringing has made me who I am.  It is what catapulted me into being a psych major.  I have always been intrigued by what makes people tick.  I did switch gears, however, recently, when I decided to pursue an MFA in poetry.  Although it may appear to be a drastic shift, it really isn't, because my poetry is largely about real people and real events...reality is not always pretty, but it is a great teacher.  Hopefully, we learn well. My children and grandchildren are very important to me.  They are the family I never had.  They are all intelligent and good individuals. I have great relationships with all of them. My faith is very important to me, but I am not the type to try to shove it down anyone's throat.  When the situation calls for it, I am not ashamed to profess my beliefs, either.

I have a B.S. in psych and work for a clinical psychologist who has taught me a great deal.  I had intended to pursue that field further, but after taking several creative writing courses and poetry/creative nonfiction workshops, I realized that I loved writing more than anything.  I am a (expletive) student [MFA in Writing (poetry)], part of which included a trip to London and Bath, England in June.  I had a wonderful time.  I am grateful to have had this opportunity.

I would like my soulmate to be attractive (to me, that is...I do not require a Brad Pitt or a George Clooney), very intelligent, affectionate and have some genuine interest in my educational/career goals.  He must also love my children and grandchildren.  Believe me, that is not difficult.
