Feeling the waters
I am 48 and have been divorced for 7 years now. My children are grown and on their own now. It is time for me to think about the things in life I still want to do. I want to build a new house in the near future. I also plan to do as much travelling as I can and really enjoy riding my motorcycle around the country. I am planning a short trip to New Eng land in the next couple of months and probably a few days in Las Vegas this summer. I am not sure what makes me who I am I guess many years of experiences. I am described by people that know me as patient, kind, caring and sometimes shy. I enjoy indoor and outdoor activities such as golf and bowling; cook outs and watching movies or TV. I am a RN in a large hospital ICU and enjoy what I do. I am not sure what else to tell so feel free to ask anything. Just an update. Broke my right leg in May but am pretty much healed now. I will be riding again before August.
As I said earlier I enjoy my work and plan to expand my education with a Master degree in nursing. I enjoy the time I spend in the Army reserve and hope to stay in until I am 60. I have done almost every type of work know to man and take pride in doing well at what ever I do. I have received awards for many things I have done in life and am proud to receive them, but it is serving and helping others that is the most rewarding. I'm not sure what to put in this section so I hope this is enough.
What I would like to see in the person I meet, wow that's difficult. I guess someone who is confident with them self but not self absorbed. A woman that is independent yet enjoys spending time together, and likes to travel as well as spend time at home. Someone without a lot of emotional baggage that can enjoy life and see the good in most things. Not afraid to be a girl but very much a woman. Basically I would like to meet someone I can share my time with not be managed or trained by; or someone who is completely dependent on me for their livelihood or happiness.
