Even nurses need time off once in a
while....
The two most important things in my life would be God and my daughter. Someone asked me recently why I loved being a Christian, the answer was so simple: without my God, without my faith, I am nothing. The same goes for my daughter, we are very close, more like friends than mother and daughter. I see my job as a nurse in that way, that God works through our hands, how we deal with other people. I love to walk, especially in the rain and snow, not as crazy as it sounds. I love books and poetry, teaching Sunday school to children and working with at risk teens on my time off. I really like animals, shepherds are my favorite, beagles next. Really have trouble talking to men, my shyness seems to scare them away, but you have to remember I haven't even dated since I was 20, many moon ago. My husband died 3 years ago, married only once to the same man for nearly 31 years, so I do know what commitment means, it is a binding contract before GOD, seems so many people forget that part.
I am a nurse, specialize in care of the elderly. I teach wee ones Sunday school, but am going to branch out with older children this month. Take one day a week from work to work with at risk teens, some of whom have never heard about God's grace and love, I think they think of me as the old dinosaur who makes them watch their language, and mind their p's and q's. Love to rescue animals from euthenasia, they give so much love in return.
I love church and worship, would have to also love God and put Him first in their life. I like to camp, go for long walks, you might have trouble keeping up ( just kidding, I think I would enjoy holding someone specials' hand). I am shy and reserved, but do have a funny side, just takes time to show it. Short, tall, slender, heavy, hair or bald, doesn't really matter, it is the inner person that makes you who you are on the outside. Honesty, sincerity, are must haves. See too much sickness and death to even consider someone who likes to play games with other peoples' hearts, so I guess maturity ( not necessarily in age, but also in character) is a must.
