I don't have a lot of free time....I'm still preparing for retirement....remodeling a couple of houses and managing an estate. Also doing start up on a new business.AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I  JUST FINISHED CAREING  FOR MY 94 YR OLD DADDY. I run around in blue jeans & T-Shirts as I work, but dress up whenever it's appropriate. Have evening gowns--love to dance!I enjoy Crown Uptown Dinner theatre, Prairie Rose, and occassional movies. I like to travel to West Palm Beach, Fl to visit my children and grandchildren.I live simply...am not a "high maintenance" person. I consider myself to be hardworking, honest, kind and considerate of others. Didn't know what to put for my status...Divorced in '74; Widowed in'98; Separated in'10....... There just wasn't a box for all 3!!! :) :)

I grew up on a farm in Western Kansas. Have worked in Insurance, Abstracting, Legal, Oil, and in the Salvage business with my late husband. I'm retiring from 30 yrs raising Schnauzers, and am now starting a Home-Plus Residential Care Home.

I am of Scotch/Irish, English/Indian decent.

I try to live by the Golden Rule. I am very family oriented. I have cared for my 94. 5 yr old Dad in my home for the past 10 years--He passed away in Feb 2011..

Oh yes, I have my own helment and leathers for riding.  I really like going to auctions, flea markets, garage/estate sales, and antique stores.  I collect certain pattern(s) of crystal serving pieces and stemware.

I like most types of music except hard rock. I don't have much time for TV, but do enjoy Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. (I record it and fast fwd the commercials ) :)
 I will eat almost anything except anchovies and spinach!
I read Nursing Magazines and various Holistic Newsletters.

I have four children and 6 grandchildren; 6 stepchildren and 12 stepgrandchildren and more....All are out on their own and doing well.
Career wise, I have experience in Insurance, Real Estate, Abstracting, Legal Secretary, Oil Secretary.  I worked on the farm with my Dad and Brother for years...(always needed an extra hand).  Also worked in the salvage business with my late husband,,,,ran the car crusher, forklift, drove semi and was his best "ground crew".  Also have remodeled several houses inside and out.  You name it, I've probably tried it.  NOW...it's getting close to retirement age :)  It's easier to pull out the checkbook after the work is done!  :)

Its been 5 years since I had a chance to water skii...15 yrs prior I was in a car wreck and the Dr. said I'd never be able to skii again...I just told him "WATCH ME" Well, I broke my rib crossing a double wake...but it was worth it!! Never say never!! My home is in the country, and I like the peace and quiet there....it is secluded from the view of the street, but near 3 towns...just right. I enjoy gardening and canning or freezing produce. I make all the jellies and syrups for my family. Fresh is better! I am trying to naturalize the perimeter of my 6 acres with flowers. It's always taken a back seat, but someday it will be beautiful year round. Never get bored...always chores to do.
