Of course my children and
grand children are at the top of
the list but I’ve been lucky
there as they share some of my
interest. I've started hanging
around on my space some of
the time and I'm very easy to
find as there aren't any other
AJCyclist. My favorite past
time is riding my bike. I’ve
been riding for 24 years and
much of my free time is spent
riding the back roads of
Kentucky and Indiana or planning out
routes for group rides.
There is something about riding a
bicycle that makes you feel 9
years old again. That first
taste of freedom, of being
able to go wherever you want. I
ride for fun, I’m not a
racer. I have as much fun
stopping to take pictures and seeing
new things and even talking to
people as I do with the
riding itself. The picture taking
brings me to one of my other
passions. I love still
photography. I’ve always enjoyed
it but with the invention of
digital cameras I can now
afford to take all the pictures I
want and to try new things.
My two other main pastimes are
fencing and gardening. I
just started fencing about 3
years ago and wow is it fun.
Again it’s like being 9 except
this time you are playing with
swords. I’m not very good but
it sure is fun and it’s an
excellent workout. I’ve
enjoyed gardening for about 30
years. I mainly do vegetable
gardening but sometimes I help
friend landscape their yards.
