I grew up all over the US and Europe. I usually don't fully fit in, so I've learned to make my own way. I'm an engineer, writer, photographer, military professional (Army Reserves)...at least those are my current professions.
I have two great boys I have 50-50 custody with (one week on/one week off). I'm starting up a new engineering and design firm to replace the one that closed while I was gone, plus getting back into my writing and photography. I had put a lot of things on hold for quite some time, now I'm readjusting.

I am looking for...I have no idea, I guess an open minded, interesting, intelligent woman with a warped sense of humor and a sense of adventure who can still enjoy a quiet weekend at home as well as a whirlwind trip. Friendship, respect, and honesty is the foundation, anything that happens from there will be worth it. Friends to start with, and where it goes is where it goes. I work a fair bit and a lot of it is deadline driven, so there would have to be underdstanding that I don't always control my schedule (other times I can take off and do nothing productive all day other than harrass a beautiful woman.) I travel a lot at times due to my various professions, so part of what I'm looking for is someone who can both be OK with me being gone as well as packing up and heading out with me. Other times I'm home, and when I'm home I am very happy to be home. I've been dragged around the world more than once and have made great friends along the way. I'd love to share all of my past and friends as well as make new chapters in my life. Life's too short to not have fun. I'm very loyal to my friends, but my boys and professional responsibilities come first. I completely respect the priorities of others--its always a question of balance. Having said that, I can kick it out with the best of them. Work hard, play harder! I'm not jealous or possessive -- people aren't property, and I just don't really understand jealousy or possessiveness much of the time. I do all I can to keep promises. I will always be honest. I can't promise a lot of things about being around me, but its usually not boring for too long. BTW---I just signed up (finally) to use this system and in the "history" part, I saw canned emails and winks I never sent.  I don't know if that is just part of their automated sytem or not, but its a bit disturbing.  For what its worth, I do use the "wink" think, but don't used canned emails.
