Being 51 years of age, I have learned quite a few things about myself.  But I am still looking to continue learning more -- about myself, others, the world, and our universe.  I am a cantor/musician for my local church, which I find rewarding to my life's path.  I am never bored, since I have many interests -- music, reading, movies, theatre, nature, travel, hiking, camping, some astronomy, etc...  I have a great sense of humor, which keeps the devils of life's struggles away from my door.

I am a former seminarian, which gives credence to my spiritual journey.  I am a practicing Roman Catholic, which I will never stray away from.  I was the first hired secretary for the Baton Rouge Opera Company and had made my operatic debut with them, when throat cancer put a stop to that journey.  However, I have been cancer free since that bout in 1984 -- which is a huge accomplishment in its own right.  I have traveled to Europe (back in 1974) and hope to return some day.  I am a person who has read many books -- always having a book near at hand.  And having come away from an emotionally and physically abusive father, I can truly look at the struggles of others in compassion and hope.

I would hope to meet someone who can learn from me and teach me his sense of wonder.  I would hope he has an interest in music of all kinds (except rap crap), movies, theatre, nature, etc...  If he is someone of faith, that would be a boost to our connection, but I understand each person is on their own path, so I would understand if he doesn't.  I am 5'9", so I am hoping to find someone around my height or taller.  Hopefully, he will be in good shape -- working out, naturally proportionate, or having work which keeps him in shape.  A hairy chest is a plus, but that is not written in stone.  What counts more to me is the beauty of the man's spirit!
