I used to be a sinner. Romans 3:23 (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,) The wages of my sin was death, Romans 6:23 (For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.) I couldn't get to heaven by my "good" deeds. Ephesians 2:8-9 (by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.) I needed to surrender to Christ Romans 10:9-10 (because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Now I have eternal life. 1 John 5:11-13 (And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
