Hello, First of all, I'd like to thank you for choosing to look at my profile. I'am a single mother of 2 great kids.. A 21 yr old daughter who attends college in N.C. and a 25 yr. old son who is into construction. Both who I love and miss dearly. Its tough when they grow up and move on with their own life's. I'am sure some of you would agree with me.. Since both have left home. I've found myself working mega hours to fill in the void. So I haven't had much time to venture out into the new world and meet new people. Its been years since I've been on a date, and frankly the thought is invigorating but yet a little nerve racking, I'am new to this, I was married for 28 yrs. and a little shy in meeting someone from the opposite sex. Although the thought is inviting. I'am an artist at heart. I love to paint, work with wood, and do floral designing,as well as sew. I use to teach in my own studio but since being on my own I've had to put that aside, although I miss it dearly. When I have some free time, I enjoy getting in my car and taking a ride into the country and finding a dirt road and exploring where it will take me.. I love getting lost and maybe staying at a bed and breakfast. I also enjoy finding outdoor and indoor flea markets in my venture's. I'am into country and victorian design and finding treasure's is very exciting to me.. I really enjoy the ocean or a nice lake.. My son and daughter are professional waterskiers for the Oxbow Waterski Show Team in Northampton Mass. So we were always on the water, Mom would create the backdrops for the shows as well as the props, and I'd also help out sewing the costumes and cooking for the spectators on Friday nite's. I miss that a lot. But during the summer I spend most of my time at the shore. I enjoy boating, dancing, a good movie, a roaring fire whether it be indoors or outdoors. I enjoy entertaining company, whether it be a party or a cookout
My Biggest accomplishment has been raising two beautiful kids and being able to see them grow into the person they are today. And being able to raise them alone for the period I had to do so. And what makes it all worth the wild is when they both told me how proud they were of their mom for being the kind of mom I was and being able to accomplish everything I did on my own to make their life a happy one.. I was their best friend as well as their mother. And to have there friends come to me and tell me they wished they had a mom like me.. It really touched my heart, that I could be their for them as well..I love my kids as well as all their friends.
I'am looking for someone with a good head on there shoulders, I'am not enterested in a couch potatoe, They have to know how to treat a lady like a lady and who likes to be treated the same. Someone who likes to hold hands in public and not be afraid to show their affection. Someone with a good heart. I like when they are open and don't hold things in. Honesty is a big important asset. And most of all .. someone who enjoys doing some of the things I enjoy doing.. I'am always up to experiencing new things also.. and I'd hope that they would be interested also.
