My most unique characteristic, I think, after all this time is that I am genuinely kind, outgoing, and love life, and people. I am a single mom of three children and my 15  year old son is still living at home.Two daughters, one 24, and one 22. I'm fairly self sufficient, and quite resourceful . I have many interests, have lived a very different kind of life. Born and raised in Africa, I came to the United States at 15..this fact , I guess makes me a little different than some. I am incredibly tolerant, and have few, if any prejudices. Having formerly been a Water Safety Instructor and Ass. Recreation director, I have now changed gears, and carriers. I am currently in the Human Service Field, which really matches my personality to a tee.Granted it is not a great money maker, but people is what I do best. I am currently learning to use and eventually teach Assistive technology..which is awesome! The students  i work with are suffering both cognitively or emotionally, and remind me every day of what I do have.. for them, picking up a spoon and feeding themselves is deemed true Success. I am truly grateful for that reminder, I never have to feel sorry for myself..because I am cognisant every day of what without really means. I am outgoing, involved, and would like to to stay that way. I love  people , new experiences, the ocean, the sun ,shells and my dogs all of which come Second to my kids. Staying at home , reading a book and working around the house works too. I breed golden retrievers one time a year for fun..and have written a manual to teach others how to do this effectively. I have gotten to the place in my life where I now know the difference between alone and lonely. Although I am alone, I am no longer lonely.. a Great feeling. My current goal ? Find someone to laugh with, learn from, teach, listen to, and to be

My biggest accomplishment ..staying in my day...  parenting, returning to college ,starting a business.,self sufficiency yours?

I am not high maintenance, nor am I materialistic. I would like to meet someone that realizes that their past is just that..and  they can embrace it because it got them to me. I am past those days of fooling around with second guessing where I stand, and trying to guess if I am being told the truth. I would just as soon not be involved in any manner, friendship or love if it is deceitful. To me communication is everything. I want to be with someone who will walk beside me, not in front, or in back, that has his own interests and shares some of mine. That enjoys me for just who I am..with few expectations .. Someone who recognizes my faults and accepts them, as I do theirs, and isn't Out to "change" me. Someone to talk with, walk with, laugh with go to the ocean with.or do nothing with. In addition this person must not try to be father to my children, just show respect towards them as they will towards you. If you are looking for Martha Stewart she doesn't’t live here, so you may want to move on. Cooking is just not my thing. I’I'll do the dishes though. I am certainly focused on goals, and need to be with people that are capable of thinking outside of the box so to speak. So, any takers ? .
