Faith, Family and Fun: In that order. No, I'm not a religious nut and I DO hope God has a sense of humor or my goose is cooked. If not, He should never have given me such a wacky one. But faith and family are very important to me. Music and writing are next. While I made my bread and butter as a financial & software consultant for the family business, I also was in a local country/old R&R band with my late husband. When I became published as a writer, I worked toward reducing the business to part time and writing to full time. I'm there! I am a romantic who is affectionate and likes affection in return. But I also like time to myself and I do have a mind of my own. I love playing music (guitar) and singing. My daughter and I sing in church and for charities. I'm also a history nut (History, A&E, Discovery Channels--Yes!) and enjoy dining out and travel. But I love to come home, enjoy evenings by the fire, reading or watching TV. I exercise daily because I have to, not because I really enjoy it. And the ocean speaks to my spirit. I've always lived near it and go there summer and winter.
I said everything in About Me, except that I'm an awardwinning author and 4H AllStar. Is that relevant?[ Note: Award-winning has not bought me my dream home on the ocean<g>]. I have two great adult children. I'm a foul weather friend, dog-loyal. My voice sometimes stops people in their tracks. Take that any way you want to<g>. I make people laugh--with humor, not song.
I'd like a godly man who loves to travel, is financially independent--if he plays guitar and sings, that's a plus, but not a necessity. Nor does he have to look like Mel Gibson. The outside is not nearly as important as the inside--character, integrity, honesty. Hopefully we'd share similar interests as listed in About Myself, but life is not all about me or him. It would be about us, provided a long term relationship to marriage develops.
