I have a strong tendency to daydream but I have my feet firmly planted on the ground. I rarely pass up the opportunity to travel and explore but relish coming back to the comforts of home. A list of places I want to go is too long to track. I believe everyone needs a good adventure on a regular basis. Friends and family form the fabric of my life. My career is important to me but I try to avoid being a workaholic. I work hard when I need to do so and play whenever I have the chance. Every weekend should include sleeping late in the morning or taking a nap on the couch in the middle of the day. You will find me playful, curious, occasionally goofy or sarcastic, all mixed with a bit of seriousness when required. As for what I like to do for fun, here's a partial laundry list: dinner w/ friends at home or out at a restaurant, exploring any part of a city anywhere, horseback riding, movies, a local bar with a group of friends, wandering around the monuments at sunset, reading a good book, museums, theater, etc. I have lived in 5 cities in the past 4 years. A little over a year ago, I moved back to DC to be closer to my friends and family. I feel more at home in DC than any other place I have lived; I hope/plan to stay here for a long time. I still feel pretty new to the city so I am always up for a little exploration.

Friends: I have an extended network of close friends all over the country and world; my family lives locally. I value this network of friends with a passion. I am proud of the way in which we are friendships have grown despite distance and constant change.

Travel and Moving: I moved around a lot in my early and mid-twenties so I could learn more about myself. I am happy I took the time and the risk to explore different parts of the country and different opportunities. It was a wonderful experience although I am very happy to have come back to DC and hopefully end the non-stop moving.

The man I want to meet would be intelligent and worldly. He enjoys traveling and exploring new places. He leads an active lifestyle; he is physically fit but doesn't worship the gym. It's a plus if he can make me laugh. He should enjoy socializing with friends out and about but also enjoy spending an evening at the theater or sitting on the couch at home.
