In a nut shell
What makes me, me is that I am not anybody else. There is this quote that says "At least I can never be accused of being somebody I am not." Helping people who have it rough, the poor, the weak, the oppressed really makes me feel fulfilled. I would like to see all inequalities in this world flushed and am determined to play a part in it. I believe that there is no reason for homelessness. What people need to know about me is that I see the good in everyone and believe it is important to see where all people are coming from and where they have been.
I am in my third year of college. This is a huge accomplishment to me because I never thought I would end up here. I love learning and I put a lot of effort into my education. I work with teenagers in a group home who are there for various reasons. I also work one day a week driving a van on campus for students and faculity with disabilities. I work very hard being the best mom I can be and my daughter means more to me than I could ever put in words. She is my greatest accomplishment and that will never change-unless I have more kids and in that case I will have more "greatest" accomplishments. I am a Nichiren Buddhist and take good care of my spirit. This is something new to be but it has made me the kind of person I want to be.
I want someone who stands for something-anything. Someone with passion, someone who doesn't think racist, sexists, classist jokes are funny. I want someone who agrees that Bush is wrong for America. Someone who wants to see me smile. Someone who understands what like is life for those not fed with the silver spoon. I want someone who knows me and understands me and loves me despite my faults. I also am looking for someone who believes in equality in a relationship because I have no intention of doing the dishes every night. I also want someone who is supportive in all that I do and someone who wants the same from me!
