I am a single white female. I live in a suburb of Detroit, MI. I'm a conservative-republican, and a church-going Christian. I believe in traditional values, which is why I think I should have been born sometime in the 40's or so. I would just like to meet my other half. I know it takes time to get to know someone to the point where it's hard to tell where you end, and they begin, but that's what I look forward to. Sometimes there can be benefits to being single, but let's face it, if being single were that much fun then this site probably wouldn't even exist. I just want the American dream. I don't care about the BMW and the big screen TV. All I want is to find that happiness that money could never buy. I am a well-rounded girl, not a moon-bat (as I'm assuming you may have come across enough of those to make you wary). I am currently finishing my last semester toward my undergrad at Oakland University. If all goes as is currently planned, I will be a law student sometime in the next six months. I'm intelligent, straight-forward, with a sense of humor that sometimes gets me in trouble (I find childish antics funny, I know, bad). My greatest strength is the same as my greatest fault...I am just too trusting for my own good. I would like someone strong and sweet enough to know that about me at the offset, and yet not take advantage of it. I guess I just need to keep holding out for that person who I complete...who completes me. He must be out there somewhere.

I've tried to define him before. I think this time I'll let him define himself. However, in a perfect world: A single man (actually that's a must, as I'm not a home-wrecker). He knows himself, and what he wants out of this life. His beliefs and convictions are sometimes considered old-fashioned, but he has a good basis for his beliefs, and he doesn't back down when confronted. He may be career minded, but deep down he really just wants the good ol' American Dream (although maybe he wouldn't admit that to his friends). He is loyal to a fault, and will always stand up for those he cares about, even when they're wrong. He loves the outdoors, camping with a roaring bonfire, fishing, hiking, etc. All the feel-good outdoor activities. Politically, he's a conservative...or at least leaning that way (maybe he hasn't researched politics well enough to know better yet, I'll give him time). He is hard-working, trustworthy, and determined. He likes going out at times, but is just as comfortable (if not more so) staying in. He likes watching NHL hockey (probably wishful thinking on my part) and it would be just super if he were as big of a Red Wing's fan as I am. He is good at making decisions and described by those who know him best as a leader, rather than a follower. He opens a door for a lady because it's just a part of his character, not because he's trying to impress anyone. When someone talks he actually listens, just as he expects people to listen when he talks. He likes dirt roads and long summer afternoons. He wants it all yet finds himself focusing more often on what really matters to him. He wants that kind of all-absorbing companionship you rarely see...you know, when you can finish your partner's sentence, and she can order for you at any restaurant in town and know exactly what you would have ordered yourself. He's trusted someone, and been hurt...it changed him somehow, and he built a wall inside. He's tired of that wall now.
