I am a bright, hard-working,
family-loving guy who hopes to

ago--I can hardly believe it!) I
continue to be HIV-negative, and had a couple of significant dating relationships while
in graduate school and during my first call after ordination while working in
Boston.

Most of my relationships have
been with men five to fifteen
years younger than myself. I
am a "younger looking" man in
his early fifties.

I moved
to Michigan in August 2005,
and bought a house in July
2006. I am still only just
beginning to meet guys here. I am
hoping to find a man who
appreciates my commitment to my work
in Flint and my family in Rhode
Island, and who likes a
dating and sex life that have
variety, exploration and honesty.

Oh, help. I am the minister of
a small and growing
spiritually diverse congregation in
Flint, Michigan, having served
successfully as minister of an
important church back in
Boston for seven years. In that
position I became President of
the largest broad-based
community organization in
New
England and helped lead struggles
for affordable housing, the
rights of workers and educational
resources for public
schools.

I also was part of the
religious leaders group that
supported Marriage Equality (same
gender marriage) in
Massachusetts.

My first career was in
music and theater. I earned
my Actors Equity card, produced
political
theater and
created original music theater as
an artist in residence in
Massachusetts schools and community
centers. I recorded talking
books for Houghton Mifflin
company and was pleased to appear
on American Public Radio with
June Foray (the voice of Rocky
the Flying Squirrel), among
other radio and television
appearances.

Much of the music
I performed was in religious
institutions, and I have been a
cantor in Anglican, Jewish
and Ecumenical Protestant
settings. I earned my place in the
theater doing summer stock with
a light opera company, and
made my operatic debut at the
Rehoboth Arts Festival (Rehoboth
Beach, Delaware) as Belmonte
in Mozart's Abduction from the
Seraglio.

I have a good
sense of humor, although I'm
sometimes a little too sarcastic,
and tend to be a
little
naughty. And I love my friends.

I have dated men of all colors throughout my life. My first in-laws were Korean, my most recent in-law family was Dominican. I maintained a bilingual (English-Spanish) home for years, and worked in Black Baptist churches for several years. I come from a working-class background, and worked for several synagogues in greater Boston. All of this is to let you know that I'm a pretty open guy, and think I would be happy to date you if you are a man of any ethnicity, class background or religion. I have tended to date men my own age or younger, and could imagine having fun with men of most ages. I'm pretty bright, and enjoy cultural activities. You should, too. But it wouldn't take much for you to be better read than I am. I like movies and theater, but I hope you won't be embarrassed if I am brought to tears. I allow myself to be moved by beautiful music and reference to the best that humans can be. I hope you have things that move you, too, and that you aren't afraid to share them. I hope that when we are dating, you can tolerate me taking a little time to decompress from my work responsibilities.
