I'm not one for small talk, although I can do that if I have to.  I love to learn about people and what makes them who they are.  I'm very introspective.  I love being a mom.  I have two boys (one in college and one almost in college) who I adore.  Being an empty nester is going to be difficult for me.  I'm also very close to my parents and siblings.  I love to be physically active.  I go to the gym, work out with weights and aerobic tapes at home.  Lately I haven't been able to be as physically active as I'd like because of my many commitments to my church:  I lead a praise band (I'm a singer) and run a divorce recovery program. I'm creative, which is a good thing, since I'm in charge of marketing at a large credit union. I like to hike and escape to the outdoors.  I like a wide variety of experiences.  I have just as much fun at a formal affair than I do working on a construction project on a mission trip in the small town of LaJoya, Mexico.  "Extremely adaptable" is a great way to describe me.  So, I'm also very easy-going.  I'm a great listener.  I enjoy dancing, but I also thoroughly enjoy a quiet evening of wine and intelligent conversation.  I have a great sense of humor. 

I have raised two wonderful boys mostly on my own, since my family lives in Indiana and their dad has moved around with the military.  For seven years, I've directed a support program that helps men and women get through their divorce.  I'm a pretty good singer and lead a band.  I've won some national credit union advertising awards.  I've gone on 4 mission trips to very poor parts of Mexico and Honduras.

I'm interested in someone who is close to his family.  He must have a sense of humor and be patient.  He must be able to "go with the flow".  A lot happens in life that's unexpected.  If a man dwells (gets angry, pouts) on unexpected events, that would turn me off.  A thinker, intelligent -- that's something else I'd like in a man.  Yes, I would need to be physically attracted to him.  He would need to share my strong Chr istian bel iefs.  I'd like someone who likes to have a variety of experiences.  He should be responsible, in that he follows through on his promises.  I also love to spend time with a man who is very keen to my needs and surprises me with romantic gestures.  I need someone who is good listener, as well as a great conversationalist.  He must be honest.
