What makes me, me?
A family friend once described me as a "Yuppie Bubba" and as bad as I may hate to admit it, it does have some truth to it. I was born and raised on a farm, but I am extremely comfortable in a board room. I'm one of those people who are equally at home at a black tie affair or a craw fish boil. It can be Millionaire's Row at the Kentucky Derby or the pits at the local stock car race, I have just always been able to find common ground with most people.
I'm an easy going person who can except people for who and what they are, yet stick to my own personal standards.
For good or bad, I am an extremely loyal person, whether it is my partner, friend or employee, I have the reputation of "having your back".
I am a helpless romantic. There is nothing that gives me greater pleasure than totaling spoiling my partner. I enjoy the finer things in life and sharing those with the people I care about.
My two greatest acheivements are my children and my career.
I have been blessed with three wonderful children who have shown me what is really important in life. They have been my greatest cheerleaders and my rock when things where rough.
The other is my career. I am a Federal Contingency Contractor who deals mainly with natural disasters and chemical releases. It has taken me to 33 states and 8 countries and given me the opportunity to experience both the best and the worst of human nature. Most of all, it has given me the opportunity to help people who need it the worst.
My Soul Mate?
To quote a recent song, "someone who will stand beside me, not in front of, or behind me". Someone who caring and affectionate, yet strong enough to tell me when I'm out of line.
I'm searching for someone who knows who they are and what they want, and are afraid to go after it. People who optimistic and willing to work for what want are a big turn on for me...doubters and negative people just get on my nerves.
