I'm a 54 year old social studies teacher/doctoral student at a private boarding school on the Idaho/Montana border. I enjoy the outdoors, although I am not in the same shape I was 20 years ago. My personality is basically quiet and reflective, yet when I am passionate about something.....I will make my voice known. I like to think of myself as compassionately honest...that is what I work on....and hope for the same in my friendships. My daughter and close friends consider me a big teddy-bear...to use a metaphor.I enjoy creative activities. Spend time playing and listening to music-mostly folk and blues. I have also taken some voice lessons so I can now sing on key...lol. I've been a potter, drawn and painted with various medium, and now enjoy photography. Besides that, I can cook a mean omellete, crepes, and a variety of other dishes-having worked in lots of restaraunts. I enjoy the creative process.Cooking a meal, some wine, music, with a warm fire and company after an active day is my idea of relaxing evening. If alone, I enjoy playing and listening to music, as well as reading a historical themed book or watching a well crafted movie. I like to balance my time engaging in these and similar activities.
