I'm just an ordinary but lonely guy who's looking for someone, and I really don't have many places to look. I'm honest and sincere, loyal to my friends, and I'm willing to do what I can to help out those friends when they need me. I can be shy and introverted at first, but once I get to know someone, I open up all the way. I don't very often have the chance to just have fun, and I'd like to change that. Most of my friends are married or involved and don't have much time to do stuff with me. I want someone who wants to spend lots of time doing things with me, even if that's only watching a movie or playing cards or just sitting and talking. I'm open to trying new activities as long as no one expects me to be good at them right away. And as long as it doesn't involve becoming a "contestant" on some idiotic "reality" show. I am open-minded, and I accept people for their beliefs and the way they lead their lives, as long as they don't hurt or infringe upon the rights of others in the pursuit of their lives.
I don't have many accomplishments. I was an editor of my high school's literary magazine in it's inaugural year. In the summer of 1985 I won a wind surfer in a radio contest sponsored by California Coolers--I wrote a really funny bit on why I hate California. I have finished the first draft on a novel and am in the process of making revisions. Of course I've been making those revisions for five years. I have had about a dozen photographs published in the local newspaper over the past two years (for free, mind you), and I recently had a letter to the editor published in the same paper that became the last word in a debate over whether people choose to be gay or were just born that way (my letter argued the latter).
I'm looking for someone who's open and friendly, laid-back and not full of himself. He should be good-looking with a nice build, but not necessarily a model or a professional athlete. He should have a great sense of humor, a quick wit, and intelligence. He should have a liberal mind about sex and enjoy having frank, unopinionated discussions on the subject, including a willingness to share past experiences. Most of all, he should be open-minded and tolerant of other people's lifestyles, beliefs, and life choices.
