I'm a single 34  year old soft butch.  I'm a teacher (middle school math) and I'm very devoted to the children I teach.  I have several hobbies including video games, writing, singing, ethnic cooking, discussing current issues, religion or philosophy, watching action movies and learning new things about any topic. I'm also very devoted to my faith.  I attend church usually more than once a week, and I am very active in the congregation.  My church affirms who I am and loves me.  I am also extremely close to my family (4 brothers, 1 sister, a host of nephews and nieces and my MOM). I'm very shy at first, but once I get to know you, all the shyness disappears.  I have a great sense of humor...I rather laugh than cry.  I will have to admit that I have a tough time expressing my emotions in words...I tend to show how I feel instead of talking about it.

Accomplishments: Education-- of all the things one can gain, education is very significant to me.  I have 1 Masters degree, and I'm 12 credit hours into my second.  One day I hope to earn my PhD.  I've been named to the National Honor Society and Who's Who several times for my academic achievements.  My other degrees included an Associates of Applied Science and a Bachelors. The Arts--  I am a published poet (and yes, love poetry seems to be my forte) and I have written several novel-length stories.  I use to paint using oil colors (a very expensive hobby) and I learned to play several instruments.  But the only one I would say I'm proficient is the Celtic Soprano Recorder, which I think is a beautiful instrument.  I play it at church services when I can. Athletics--  Sofball, baseball (pitcher), football, ultimate frisbee...Summer is the time for outdoor activities.  My favorite indoor athletics is.... (okay trying to keep it clean here) weight lifting.  But since my knee surgery in October I have learned to appreciate being a homebody.  However, once I get the go ahead from my doc (hopefully this summer) I will be back in the gym and lifting weights once again.  

What am I looking for? A woman who knows what she wants, but not too aggressive. Someone who loves to cuddle and be romantic. A woman who can appreciate someone with old-fashioned values (i.e. holding the door open or pulling out a chair for a lady, offering my coat on a chilly night, etc.) I believe in true love and want someone who feels the same.
