Hmmm ... About me ... OK ... this will come across as really dorky and probably a bit cliche ... but this is what I think: There is joy in everything/! I'm not the kind of person to whine and complain about any particular situation. I believe that life offers us choices and we always have the ability to see the joy in it -- if we choose to look!

Yeah, that is cliche and corny ... I moved back to North Dakota to be close to my family because, after chasing a corporate 'dream' and climbing that 'ladder,' I realized that it just wasn't important. I was missing niece's birthdays and nephew's baptisms, etc. I'm here now but am finding that being gay here is not so easy ... I miss the city!

But I'm not moving anytime soon ... I choose to be here and I love what Fargo has to offer ... but I miss dating!

I think the most important thing I've accomplished is my ability to really see the good in things. I grew up in a small town (1500) and went off to a private college where I really had an opportunity to grow up! I went on to graduate school but didn't finish ... I held three jobs just to pay the rent ... I then caught a break and found a job I really loved. That job took me from Omaha to Minneapolis to Kansas City to Oakland ... I had a great ride with them but ended up right back where I started -- North Dakota -- the one place I knew I would never return to. Funny how life works out sometimes ...

I was successful in my career but have had little luck in maintaining long-term relationships -- perhaps because my job always came first. Since moving back, I work a little -- not a lot! I'm a real estate agent and am not one that works 70-80 hour weeks. I value time with family and friends above everything else!

I am looking for someone who wants to date! I am not looking to get 'married' tomorrow - even though that's an impossibility in a state with a constitutional amendment banning such things! I believe that people need to be completely honest with each other even when faced with a situation that will end up with hurt feelings. Honesty and trust are probably two of the biggest things I need -- and communication! I don't want a relationship that conforms to any societal norms about what it should be; rather, I want to meet someone who is willing to make the rules as we go along!
