As a single mother I raised two great kids. My son is 20 years old and is in the United States Marine Corps. He is currentlyserving Afghanistan. I admit I'm fearful but, I trust God to keep him safe. He loves his country and feels it's his duty to serve. My daughter is 17 and although she is just a senior in high school, she attends her local communithy college and works as a lifeguard at the YWCA. She is also on the varsity swim team.
I'm working on a BS in Elementary Education and I'm a good student. Recently I won a scholarship for a field study in Canada. It was a wonderful experience... ten days of hiking and camping through the Canadian Rocklies.
I live on a farm, and really enjoy horses. Recently I rescued a horse from malnutrition, and have watched her grow into a beautiful little filly. She will be ready to ride in the Fall, and she's so gentle I'm certain that if God blesses me with any grandchildren I will have no problem letting them ride her.
I guess my greatest virtue would be my compassion. I care deeply for others, both the people I love and even perfect strangers. My favorite charity is a homeless shelter for teenaged boys and girls.. I get more out of giving than I do receiving, although I am richly blessed and grateful to God for all He has done for me.
