I am a retired Healthcare Professional and am presently volunteering as a Patient Advocate at a large medical facility near my home.  I have an interest in Alternative Therapies such as Reiki.  I don't know how to describe myself as we see ourselves in a different manner than others see us.  I am considerate,  friendly and have a good personality, am intelligent, caring, compassionate, a good listener, like to have fun, am considered cute which has stuck with me all of my life but I prefer attractive though, I have a distinctive laugh I have been told, and am a good friend.

Retiring has been difficult for me as I miss my staff and peers.  Volunteering has filled a void and I am enjoying it.  I am not a real sporty person but am interested in taking golf lessons in the spring, want to learn to use a kayak and buy a bike.  I have joined the local gym and find that thiis is really enjoyable.  While working in the past, work and home were what filled my time and now that I have more time I find that my interests are much different.  I have been on one cruise and would like to go on more in the future.  I read a great deal and mostly mystery novel.  James Patterson is one of my favorite authors.  Some of my favorite TV programs are CSI, NCIS, Greys Anatomy, Bones, Discovery, Lifetime,  and , of course, the shopping channels.  I do not gravitate toward nonsensical comedies.  I do enjoy a good comedy but prefer that it be in a movie form.
I have taken guitar lessons recently and have a long way to go before I can make any sound like music.  It is my goal to actually play it.
My family is very important to me as they have been my stabilizer in the past several years.

I am looking for a kind, considerate, intelligent, fun, caring, attractive, neat in appearance, financially secure, and just a plain nice person.  I would like him to be fairly active but not into so many sports that this would be his main focus.  Family must be important to him as mine is to me.  He can be interested in classic cars, motorcycles and racing as those are of interest to me also.  I don't own a motorcycle but have always had an interest in them.   My taste in music is diversified but do listen to the oldies of the 50's - 90's, classical, some country, most anything except RAP.
