I think of myself as an eclectic romantic.  I appreciate the beauty that Nature has to offer by walking hand in hand down a mountain trail or just by walking my dog along the Bosque. I  am inquisitive, adventurous, forthright, determined and sometimes stubborn.  I am considered by friends to be somewhat intense, independent, creative and insightful. I appreciate my alone time as much as dinner w/ friends. I am introspective , self aware and comfortable with myself. I've been told that these are some of the advantages of nearing the half century mark but whatever the reason, I find at this point in my life , that I'd like to share life's ups as well as the downs with a heart connection. It's been quite some time since I've done the "dating" thing, if ever. Usually, my experience has been that "we" make a connection and get involved too quickly and I  end a relationship with someone I really don't know. I have been self-employed most of my life.  I've not limited myself to a particular area  of interest to start a business. I don't like limitations or obligations. The ones that we put on ourselves are difficult enough, wouldn't you agree? I'm sober/drug free for 21 years and believe that THAT was the best gift I've given myself or anyone else.

I'd like to meet someone who I basically desribed in the above section but I'll be more specific.  Honesty is first and foremost...........with themselves as well as outside themselves. I'm most comfortable with strong women, of strong personality. I do well with independent women who know themselves and have a direction in life.
