My intellect is laced with a "Far Side" sense of irony and a romantic's cloudburst of passion. Although a few of my companions might describe me as moody, I think of my vagaries in perspective as a product of my senstivity to my environment. I follow the news in streaks--sometimes I'll listen to NPR in the morning and watch The Jim Lehrer News Hour daily, faithfully, for months, then stop and not follow the news at all for almost as long. I'm a dog lover (especially of my Cranberry), and think them frequently more noble than the human race. I'll sometimes worship a woman who enables me to fall in love with her, but more importantly, I live to help her, to facilitate her dreams, wants, and desires.
Survived graduate school, ran two marathons, climbed 5.11, took my motorcycle on a 4,000 miles trip, replaced the front struts on my Cadillac, make a green chile the envy of my neighbors and colleagues, have the first 26 lines of _Paradise Lost_ memorized, and publish travel articles for fun. Priorities? Who has time to prioritize?
