My relationship with God defines me, my primary desire is to serve Him and seek to be in His will in all that I do. I am not a stuffed shirt.  I am able to relate with people outside the church and I do know how to have a little good clean fun.  Christian concerts, community events, a good movie, and outdoor recreation are a few of the things that I enjoy. Family comes first after my relationship with God.  I love children and the challenges of raising a child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  I cherish the companionship of a devoted wife who will allow me to love her as God loves His church. I am not perfect, however, I am devoted to serving God and conducting my life in a manner that reflects the mind of Christ. I have one consistent flaw that defines me - I am profoundly dyslexic.  My IQ is around 110 but my performance is laboured and average.  I work very hard to accomplish little and frustrate those around me because I am noticeably slow in just about everything I do.  I am brilliant in many ways and often misunderstood because I am not fast in delivering the final product.

I love to sing and have had voice training.  I am asked quite often to sing solos in the church.  Most of the church staff positions that I have held involved being the Minister of Music.  I am learning to play the guitar and have had a little experience playing the piano and accordion. I have a BA in Psychology and Religion and have worked toward a MA in Marriage and Family Counseling and Religious Education. I am mechanically inclined and do most of the repairs around my home and on my vehicles. I have mostly worked in construction as a carpenter and volunteered my services to the church as a minister of music. I enjoy sports but am not addicted to the sports channel.  I enjoy playing golf but am not very good at it.  My athletic prowis has dimished over the years to taking an enjoyable walk in my neighborhood.  I love long walks in the wilderness and in the mountains. I enjoy fishing and hunting.  I was raised on a farm in North Eastern Nevada and though I enjoy the city I am more comftorble living in small towns. I have devoted my life to serving God in the secular workplace and in the church.  My hearts desire is to pastor a small church.  I pray that God will allow me to serve Him in this capacity in spite of the fact that my wife of 25 years has divorced me. Three years ago my wife left me and filed for divorce.  There was no infadelity, she just didn't want to be married to me any more.  I still have a hard time understanding her motive, I just know that she has not changed her mind and is not open to reconciliation.  I have given her three years and now I must move on. Mis America beauty, poise, and athleticism are all desirable, however, they are all secondary to the above mentioned attributes.
