I try to live everyday to the fullest & with the most laughter I possibly can! Things can always get rough, but what can you do but smile & keep goin' & try again? My family & my 5 chihuahuas are the most important things in my life & keep me movin when things look bleak. I live with my best friend who has been my "Rock of Gibraltar" for the last 7 years.  Without him, I am not sure where I would be today. I am an out & VERY proud Lesbian, who happens to be married to a man (my best friend). It is for health insurance due to major medical issues the last 2 years, but most people don't get it. We have no physical relationship, sleep in different rooms, & use different bathrooms. However, this situation makes it rather difficult for me to meet a woman because they are not comfortable with it.  I have been single for 7 years & maybe destined to be for quite some time, but I am not a quitter! LOL

After escaping a horribly abusive 5 year relationship with a woman considerably older than me, I realized I didn't know who I was. Getting out was one of one of the most significant accomplishments of my life.  It's taken me 7 years of being single & working on myself to get the damage of that relationship reversed & putting it's lessons to good use.



The last 2 1/2 years have been devastating for me due to major health issues. I have spent too much time in the hospital & locked away in my house, sick, to accomplish any of the goals I had set for myself.
I recently lost my 6 year career with Washoe county at the IT helpdesk as a team lead. Management moved me to a different area that required me to do tasks that management knew I wouldn't be able to do while I was out on leave. I was then fired because I was unable to perform my job duties . So I am now motivated to further my education by getting another degree in computer programming. I'm also going for a bachelor's in business mgt because I'm going to open my own business when our economy picks up. Oh yeah, did I mention, then I'm going to sue the hell out of Washoe county! 



I have a degree in Information Technology, so I can be a geek sometimes.  I try not to focus on technology in my spare time though.  I spend time with my dogs, working in my yard & projects on my home.  I like to spend some spare time letting my creative side out in various crafts. I dabble in scrapbooking, painting, card-making, quilting, embroidery, cross-stitch, & anything else that intrigues me.
