Hi my name is Danny.
I am relatively new to the Ely area.I moved here from Jacksonville,Fla. this past september.
After 37yrs.as a long haul truck driver/OO(ask me),I sold the business and moved to here to start a new career(my family thinks I went off the deepend)but I digress.I had always wanted too learn to operate very large off road equipment,but it was not untill a major disaster in "04" that I realised I could persue one of my life long desire's,so here I am in the booming metropolis of Ely,NV.LOL ;-).
What kind of guy am I ?.
I am very optimistic (you have to be to survive as a independent for so many years).I love the outdoors thats why I like driving trucks and heavy equipment.I am a little old fashion,I will open the door for you,I will ask that you order first,I will ask what you would like to drink first.The lady aways comes first.
I am very spritual,I am very greatful for every thing that I have.I am very quick to give thanks for what I have been given.My heath is very important to me,while I will admit that I am a little to heavy for my age I try very hard to take care of my self.I drink very little alcohol,thats not to say I don't drink I just don't drink a lot,I like a good cold beer every once in a while.I Don't smoke,but I sure do miss it every now and then( quit in the late 80's)and yes I still do miss it when things get tough.I like camping,weather it is in a tent or in my small travel trailer.I like panning for gold in some of the rivers around there.
When the weather isn't being very nice I love to read mostly SciFi and Fantacy.Right now I am reading a book called Polaris by Jack McDevitt,deep space who done it ?. I like reading all of Jacks books,some friends have told me about a series called Twilite,I think that is the way it is spelled,anyway it's suppose to be about a love afaire of vampires,sounds cool to me.I like stories about vampires,werewolfs,or witchs.I could talk for hours the boo

OK I will brag a little.
I have been around the world a few times.When I was in my early twenties I lived in Nurnburg, West Germany,and drove a truck over there and loved it,mainly because I got to drive in a counrty that is so old.The Castles are so cool, a few times I got to stay in a few of them.I had a very good friend that lived in a town that was inside the Castle walls and his house was on the inner wall and from the upstairs window you could see in to the gardens in there.The history there is fantastic.I have driven all over the US and Canada. I concider my self  very lucky too have seen so many places.I am not arrogant nor am full of my self,I am absolutely sure that I cannot walk on water.I think I have done a good job of holding on to my youth and my youthful out look on life.
