I enjoy people with a sense of adventure and willing to take on new opportunities. I have travelled extensively (next week Egypt!) and am always excited about seeing new places and cultures - as well as new people. As a history teacher, my summers are free which gives me a time to do what I love - read, hike, and practice taekwondo, but it can also be a lonely time. I have never married or had children although I am very close to my family who do have tons of children. I exercise quite regularly, keep in shape, and am pleased to say that I am healthy.
I am often up late at night or early in the morning and would be willing to chat or meet for an impromptu breakfast at an all-night dinner.
I enjoy sci-fiction - especially Orson Card and enjoy watching movies - adventure, romantic comedies - not the sad dramas, however - movies should be about entertainment not catharsis.

I am a tenured teacher for 10 years and have excellent scores for my students AP tests (last year 4.5 average).
I graduated cum laude in Ancient Greek from the College of WIlliam and Mary and then pursued a doctoral degree in archaeology - alas did not finish it as I had to move.
I am a recommended black belt in combat hapkido and a high brown in taekwondo and qualified for nationals due to my forms and sparring last year; and won breaking contests twice this year - one with a flying side kick over two of my students - lol.

I don't have a type, and as I haven't found a soul mate yet - not sure how I can be expected to describe that. If you like taekwondo or other martial arts - I think we would have an instant connection - similarly if you like hikes or rock climbing I think we would mess well. Not really interested in men who like conspicuous consumption or who value people based on net worth - I obviously hope the man I date is successful and financial sound, but don't need to see that in his car or boat. It would be great if the man was civically conscious and participated in community service.
Personality-wise - I likes a man who has a sense of humour and is confident in who he is. The type of person who will give you a benefit of a doubt and second chances.
Appearance - i have never been a big fan of facial hair but guess it isn't a major turn off, physically healthy is good but I don't have a set body weight in mind, I'm short (5'3") so height is not an issue with me if it isn't with you.
