I like video games, Japanese animation, role-playing games, science fiction, etc. typical geeky stuff. But I also like mainstream films like James Bond or the recent barrage of superhero films. (Well, some of them.)

I'm pretty ambitious; I want ultimately to own my own business (or be in a leadership role of someone else's). I would like to have a lot of money (wouldn't we all), but I'm more interested in being able to plan things and deal with people than the money that such jobs pay.

I like discussing politics and philosophy. Even if I don't agree with other's ideas, I love hearing about them and hearing them argued for and defended.

My religion is pretty important to me and while I wouldn't consider myself very religious right now I am definitely active in my religious expression and fairly traditional in how I look at the subject. I'm interested in becoming more religious and if that's a turn off for you I'm just letting you know beforehand.

I'm the secretary of the gay alliance of my school (which is pretty big). I'm also pretty actively involved in the school's Jewish community although I'm no longer in a facilitative role.

I want someone who knows how to have fun but can snap into being serious when appropriate. Someone who is ambitious and has goals, but is not so far out that she's lost sight of the ground. I want someone I can have long, drawn out philosophical conversations with without feeling that I'm out of my league or that I have an intellectual advantage. I need someone who is on the same level as I am. Having different political views from me could help, as long my partner and I both understand that any political discussions must remain civil. Appearance isn't a big deal to me. Being intellectually beautiful is far more important to me than being physically so. Having similar interests to me is a plus as it gives us something that we can do together. I would not be able to deal with a smoker. I don't have any problem with smokers, but I want a relationship to have at least the potential of long-term involvement and I don't think I could deal with a smoker long-term.
