I believe knowledge is a sum total of what we have learned throughout our lives, our experienes and how we learned from them.

I have learned that no matter how resilient we may be to illnesses, in our heart of hearts we have deep seeded feelings and want everyone to like us for who we have become over the years.  Devoting your love, both mental and physical, to one person is the ultimate.  Being open minded and not afraid to be flexible is important in most instances. Never doubt the pleasure of a sweet smile, laughing eyes, a warm hug, touch on the back, shoulder or arm.  We should try to see the beauty that is within everyone and not be  afraid to share thoughts or feelings.

I am learning to play the piano which tells me no matter what our age there is always something we can learn and something new we can learn to do and share with others.  I retired at age 53 with 35 years of service to the Department of Defense.  I dedicated my strong desire to take care of myself through my devotion to my work and other activities that helped to grow mentally and spiritually.  I love to write and I am nostalgic.  In my heart of hearts I would have loved to become a professional singer and ballroom dancer. I love music and movies that make you cry because they are telling a story of love whether it be a happy story or a sad story.  I enjoy volunteering my time.  I feel I possess the strong ability to give of myself totally, heart, mind and body and yet not be possessive, controlling or jealous.

We need to be able to show our individuality and be happy to do so.  No matter what our past has been, we should be in the today.  We can't change what is behind us but we can shine with all that is in us now.  We were born to physically be who we are right now and no one should feel that there isn't someone who would care about them  because of  their physical attributes.  Life is too short and love brings out the beauty within each one of us.
